The pink & teal colorway runs through the coating rather than being printed on top, so the color stays vibrant through years of walks, swims, and rolls in things you don't want to think about.

Cut, punched, and assembled by our team in Maryland from US-sourced biothane. Solid brass and nickel-plated hardware chosen for weight rather than the cheapest option. Four sizes: small (7 to 10.5 inches) at 5/8 inch wide, medium (10.5 to 15 inches) at 3/4 inch, large (15 to 19 inches) at 1 inch, and X-large (19 to 25 inches) at 1 inch. Measure snugly against the skin, leave two fingers of room.

Biothane will not absorb moisture, so a wet dog does not become a smelly one. The strap holds its shape rather than stretching out after a wet season, and the sealed edges will not fray. FAQ

How do I choose the right size?

Measure your dog's neck with a soft tape, snug against the skin rather than over fur. Small fits 7 to 10.5 inches, Medium 10.5 to 15, Large 15 to 19, X-Large 19 to 25. Between two sizes, size up for a growing dog and down for one who has stopped growing.

What are the widths for each size?

Widths scale with size for comfort. Small is 5/8 inch, Medium is 3/4 inch, Large and X-Large are both 1 inch. Wider straps on bigger dogs spread pressure more gently on dogs who pull.

Is the collar waterproof?

Fully waterproof. Biothane is coated polyester webbing with no fibers exposed to absorb water, so a wet collar comes out of a lake at the same weight it went in. Wipe it clean with a damp cloth and it stays fresh.

Will the collar smell after swimming?

No. The whole reason waterproof biothane exists is that fabric holds moisture and bacteria, and biothane cannot. Dogs who swim and roll in unpleasant things come home with a clean-smelling collar.

Can I attach a tag to it?

Yes. The D-ring takes a standard split ring, and any tag attaches in seconds. Our engraved tags come in four shapes and four finishes if you want the metal to match the buckle.

What if the collar does not fit?

Reach out and we will sort it. Dogs' necks are hard to guess and sizing charts only get you so far, especially on dogs with thick coats. We are happy to help with sizing or exchanges.

How long does a biothane collar last?

Years of daily wear is normal. Biothane resists cracking, fading and stretching, and will not stiffen after repeated soakings the way leather does. Hardware and fit are what to watch, so check both every few weeks.

Is biothane safe for dogs?

Biothane is polyester webbing with a protective coating, the same material used for horse tack for decades. Reactions to the material are rare. Most collar irritation comes from wet fabric held against the coat, which is what a waterproof biothane collar avoids.

Can I use this on a cat?

The smallest size starts at 7 inches, which fits some cats, but these are built for dogs and have no breakaway safety buckle. Cats need breakaway collars for their safety. Buy a proper cat collar and add one of our tags to it instead.
