What kind of photo works best?

A clear, front-facing close-up in good lighting with a simple background. The better the input, the better the portrait. Skip blurry or distant shots, and pick the sharpest photo you have. Detail in the eyes and face is what our artists build the art around.

How long does it take to ship?

We ship in 2 business days by USPS from our Maryland workshop. Priority shipping is available at checkout. Every portrait is made to order, so those 2 days are production time rather than warehouse time.

Is the frame included?

Yes. Every portrait comes in a solid dark walnut real wood floating frame, ready to hang out of the box. Mounting hardware is included.

Can I put multiple pets on one canvas?

Yes. In the customizer, select the number of pets to add. Multi-pet portraits are $4.99 per extra pet. If you are including two or more, choose landscape rather than portrait where available so every face has room to be seen.

What if I don't like how it looks?

Every portrait is manually adjusted by our design team before printing to make sure it looks right. If we get the customization wrong, a replacement ships at no charge. If the photo or details were wrong on your side, reach out and we'll send a replacement at 50% off rather than full price.

Do you ship internationally?

Do you send a proof before printing?

No. We don't do proofs or revisions, the same as our tags, because it lets us ship in 2 days rather than 2 weeks. If something is wrong with what arrives, we'll make it right and you stay happy.

What size is the canvas?

The print is 12x18 and the finished piece measures 13.5 x 19.5 in its frame. It is gallery-wrapped and set into solid dark walnut, heavy enough to hold its shape rather than the thin molding most print shops use.

What if my pet is not a dog or cat?

Dogs and cats are most common, but the process works for any pet you love. Rabbits, horses, birds, and the occasional lizard have all been through it. Send good pictures and our team can create something from them.

Can I add a name, date, or short text to the portrait?

Most portraits have space to add a name, date, or short text as part of the design, and you can add it in the customizer. A few of the busier styles, like Astronaut and Renaissance King and Queen, fill the frame with a full scene and don't leave room for it.
